Brazilian State to Tender $21m Sewer Project

The Brazilian state of Sao Paulo is to launch a R$35.3m ($20.8m) tender to build trunk sewers in the metropolitan area of the state capital.

The project includes laying 150m of pipeline with a minimum diameter of 300mm and another 2,300m of an 800mm-diamater pipeline.

The project, funded by the Inter-American Development Bank, will take two years to complete following the award of the tender.

The sewer project is being implemented under phase III of the $1.05bn Tiete river sanitation project, which is scheduled for completion in 2016, according to waterworld.com.
