Sembcorp Begins Building Singapore Wastewater Treatment Plant

Sembcorp has started the construction of a $40m integrated wastewater treatment plant on Jurong Island in Singapore.

The new plant will be capable of treating 9,600 cubic metres per day of complex industrial wastewater, almost doubling Sembcorp’s industrial wastewater treatment capacity on Jurong Island’s new industrial region.

The plant will be able to treat industrial wastewater with concentrations of up to 800mg per litre of chemical oxygen, which is twice the concentration of municipal wastewater.
