United Water to Provide Management Services to Michigan City

United Water has signed a $40m contract to provide professional operations, maintenance and management services for the water and wastewater systems of Pontiac City in Michigan, US.

Under the five-year contract, United Water will manage the city’s water and sewer utilities division, which has a distribution system that provides 7.8 million gallons of water per day to 21,000 homes and businesses.

United Water will also manage two wastewater treatment plants, which will treat 26 million gallons per day, along with storm and sanitary sewer systems.

The firm will also provide meter reading, billing and collections, and customer services for 70,000 residents and businesses.
