Sembcorp Utilities to Expand Water Business in China

Sembcorp Utilities will sign three memorandum of understandings (MoU) with Chinese firms to further expand its water business in China.

Sembcorp will sign an MoU with Tianjin Lingang Industrial Area Construction and Development to form a joint venture to build, own and operate a 12,000m³ per day water reclamation plant in the TLIA.

Sembcorp’s second MoU is with Harbin Wan Xing Long for the acquisition of a 50,000m³ per day municipal wastewater treatment plant and a 40,000m³ per day water reclamation plant.

A third MoU will be signed between Sembcorp and the Yanjiao National High Tech Industrial Development Area Administration Committee for the acquisition of a 50,000m³ per day municipal wastewater treatment plant.
