Veolia to Supply IFG System for Canadian Project

Devon Energy Corporation has awarded a contract to Veolia Water Solutions & Technologies to supply one of the largest induced gas flotation (IGF) systems for the Devon Jackfish 3 project in Canada.

Under the contract, Veolia will provide a Whittier Filtration AutoFlot IGF with a capacity of 932m³ of oily water per hour.

The pressurised design of the flotation cell allows easy removal of oil from produced water in the internal baffle chambers and prevents the escape of hydrogen sulphide gas and other potentially hazardous vapours.

The system is to be delivered in September 2011.
