Suez Environment Bags 30-Year China Water Contract

Suez Environment has secured a water contract for 30 years in Chongqing Changshou Chemical Industrial Park in China.

The France-based group bagged the contract through its subsidiary Sino French Water, along with Chongqing Water Group and Changshou Chemical Industrial Park Development and Construction Company.

The joint venture will deliver water-treatment services by managing and upgrading the water and wastewater facilities in the industrial park.

It will also improve the water-management system to provide industrial water production, distribution, industrial effluent collection and treatment services to all companies in the park.

The joint venture has secured the water project for 30 years with a possible 20-year extension.

The park is located in the northeast of Chongqing Municipality, covering a total area of 31.3km², which is planned to be one of the biggest bases of chemical industry and new energy in western China.
