Indian State to Build Two Water Treatment Plants

Two water treatment plants are to be built in the Indian state of Goa at a cost of INR1.6bn ($34m).

The state government has floated a tender for a 10 million litre-per-day plant in Maisal with an investment of INR500m ($10m), according to The Times of India.

The second plant will be able to treat 25 million litres of water daily, and will be set up at Ganjem-Ambeshi at a cost of INR1.1bn ($24m).

The projects will be funded by the Indian Government and the Goa State Government.
